The highest level Macy’s credit card is the Macy’s American Express Credit Card, especially when paired with the Platinum tier of the Macy’s Star Rewards loyalty program. Platinum-level Macy’s Amex cardholders earn 5 points / $1 spent on eligible Macy's purchases. Cardholders must spend $1,200 or more a year at Macy’s to reach the Platinum tier, which is the highest tier in the Star Rewards program.
New cardholders are also eligible for a 30% discount at Macy’s stores, Macy’s Backstage, and macys.com the day they’re approved and the day after. The discount is limited to $100 over the two days.
In addition, the Macy’s American Express Credit Card offers bonus rewards at Macy’s, restaurants (including food delivery), gas stations, and supermarkets, as well as 1 point / $1 spent on all other purchases. On the other hand, the Macy's Store Card can only be used for Macy’s purchases.
