Western Union (WU) may not accept your credit card because it doesn’t operate on a supported payment network. WU accepts credit cards associated with most major payment networks, like Visa or Mastercard, but does not take American Express cards. Store cards are also not accepted.
Other Reasons Why WU May Be Rejecting Your Card
- Incorrect Card Details: Make sure your card number, expiration date, CVV and billing address are entered correctly.
- Insufficient Credit: If your credit card is maxed out or you don’t have enough available credit, the transaction won’t go through.
- Expired Card: Transactions won’t be accepted if the card is no longer valid.
If none of these apply, you may want to double-check with your card issuer or try a different payment method. You can also contact Western Union’s customer service for support.
