Before getting into how to update the balances on your credit report, it is important to understand that your credit report balances do not update in real-time with your latest transaction data.
Lenders report updated account balances to the major credit bureaus each month (usually at the time your statement is generated), so it may be only a matter of time before a recent payment manifests itself on your report, for instance. If more than 30 days pass, but you still don't see the correct balances, a good idea would be to contact the lenders about it, to make sure they sent the necessary info to the credit agencies.
WalletHub checks for updates to your credit report and credit score on a daily basis, so you’ll be able to see when/if your credit data catches up to your expectations just by monitoring your account. If you believe any information on your credit report is inaccurate, you can dispute it by clicking the “Report to TransUnion” link at the bottom of the expanded view for the account in question.
