I see flights on AA for JAL, but every time I go to select one, it comes back with "no longer available, select another" but the same darn thing keeps coming up. I called AA and the agent says she sees the same thing on her end. I have tried to book JAL flights on multiple different dates and always get the same thing. One flight was offered from HND to SFO for both business AND first class 80/100 miles - when I went to look at the aircraft info for that flight, there is NO first class on that flight lol. Anyone else complaining about this?

You can use American Airlines miles to book flights on Japan Airlines via the American Airlines website or mobile app. Since both airlines are part of the oneworld alliance, you can also earn AAdvantage miles when flying with Japan Airlines.
How to Use American Airlines Miles on Japan Airlines
- Log In to Your AAdvantage Account: Visit the American Airlines website and log in to your AAdvantage account.
- Check Award Availability: Enter your route and travel dates, check the "Redeem miles" box, and click "Search" to view available award flights.
- Select Your Flights: Use the "Airlines" filter at the top of the search results to select Japan Airlines. Choose the flight that matches your travel itinerary and has available award seats.
- Book the Flight: Follow the booking process, provide the necessary information, and select the option to pay with AAdvantage miles.
- Confirm and Complete Your Booking: Review your booking details, confirm your reservation, and pay any applicable taxes and fees.
Once the booking is complete, you should receive a confirmation email with your flight details. You can manage your reservation, select seats, and make any necessary changes through the "Your trips" section on the American Airlines website.
Award availability on partner flights is limited and can change quickly, so book early and stay flexible with dates and routes. If a partner flight doesn’t appear, it likely means the airline hasn’t released award seats yet. For the latest policies or assistance, check with American Airlines or call (800) 433-7300.
