You get between 10 and 17.5 points per $1 spent at Marriott, depending on your membership tier within the Marriott Bonvoy program. You earn points on your room rate and on eligible spending charged to your room, excluding taxes and fees.
How Many Marriott Bonvoy Points You Earn per Night

There are some exceptions to the rates mentioned above:
- Members earn at least 5 points per $1 spent during stays at Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, Four Points Express, City Express, Element, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Protea Hotels, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, and at Series by Marriott.
- Stays at StudioRes earn at least 4 points per $1 spent.
- Stays at Marriott Executive Apartments earn at least 2.5 points per $1 spent.
To find out how many points you’ll earn for a night, visit marriott.com and select your desired property. Subtract any taxes and fees, then multiply the remaining amount by the number of points you earn per $1 spent.
