You can buy a minimum of 2,000 American Airlines miles and then purchase additional miles in increments of 1,000, up to 150,000 miles per year. To be eligible for a discount, AAdvantage® members need to buy at least 3,000 miles in one transaction through the Buy or Gift Miles program.
