If you want to earn miles faster, consider getting an American Airlines credit card. The Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard is an excellent option and has a signup bonus of 50,000 miles for spending $2,500 in the first three months. With that signup bonus alone, you could get 2-6 free one-way domestic flights. The card has a $99 annual fee, but it’s waived the first year.
I had a Citicard … had to spend $4000.00 in 4 months and I got 80,000 miles. It cost me nothing.
