You can transfer IHG points in increments of 1,000 to another member from your IHG One Rewards account online. Once the transfer is complete, the points will be available in the recipient’s account within 24 hours.
How to Transfer Your IHG points to Another Member
- Visit the IHG One Rewards transfer page and log in to your account.
- Click the “Transfer Points” from the available options.
- Enter the recipient’s name and any other required information as it appears on their IHG One Rewards account.
- Input the number of points you wish to transfer.
- Make sure all the information is entered correctly and submit your transfer request.
It’s important to keep in mind that IHG charges a fee ($5.00 per 1,000 points) for transferring points.
You can transfer a minimum of 1,000 points, and up to 500,000 per calendar year.
Convert IHG One Rewards Points to Airline Miles
You can also convert IHG points to airline miles with participating transfer partners. This conversion can be done at a ratio of 5 to 1 with most programs, meaning you get 1,000 airline miles for every 5,000 IHG points. Notably, this service is available with 36 participating airlines.
