Once the transfer is complete, the points will be available in the recipient’s account within 72 hours. Currently, Southwest does not allow transfers to any other loyalty programs.

You can transfer a minimum of 2,000 miles, and up to 60,000 miles per transaction, which is also the number of miles you can send per day.

- Mileage Fee: $5 for every 500 Rapid Rewards points
- Average Points Value: 1.21 cents each, when redeemed for flights
Is Transferring Southwest Points Worth It?
Transferring Southwest points is not worth it as fees often make this option less appealing than redeeming them directly. To maximize value, consider using your points to book a flight for the recipient instead.
