i have enjoyed this card for the last 8 year. this card offers a lot of flexibility. Earn 1% on everything you purchase. You can use it for cash back on statements, airline miles, or use it to get merchandise. Best feature of card is occasional discounts, like 10$ back if you use it to pay cell phone bill.

American Express is highly recognized named in the credit card industry, but the terms of this card are a little steep in comparison with some other offerings. Amex Blue Cash offers a lower interest rate at 12.99-21.99%, Blue Sky offers an interest rate of 17.24-22.24% That's a big spread on the low end and that will add up quickly over time. The $38 late fee is above Cap One's Silver, which offers $35. On the plus side, there's no annual fee, but that's available with many cards. Additionally, there's the prestige of Amex, which is highly regarded. This would not be my first choice, but it seems like a decent card.

Just the fact that this card carries the American Express name on it tells you something...Amex has always been trustworthy and committed to customer service, in my experience. While the APRs on this card seem pretty high, there's no annual fee, and the rewards points are easy to rack up, although the minimums to redeem seem pretty high. If you spend a lot on the card and pay the balance off every month, though, I'm sure you can redeem faster. All in all, not the best card out there, but better than most.

The Blue Sky credit card from American Express seems to be a good card from a reputable company. The points system is nice and simple. You spend a dollar, you get a point. No confusion in that case! The rates seem typical from what I know about credit cards. Of course they like to keep those percentages high but I would probably a lot feel more comfortable with this card than I would with most of the other credit cards.

Based upon the APR range, this card should not be used to carry balances. I can see where this is a good card for someone who travels a lot, but there are a lot of other cards out there which offer more than one point per $1 spent. I have a Barclay card with similar APR, so I pay it off at the end of every month, which offers one point per dollar spent on normal purchases and two points per dollar spent on Groceries, Gas, and Utilities. These points can be redeemed back at a similar rate as the Amex Blue Sky card, but for credits on my credit card bill.
So in short if you travel a lot this might be a card for you, but if you do not there are better reward cards out there.

The Blue Sky from American Express card is actually a pretty good card. The interest rate is variable but usually pretty good but where this card shines is the reward points and the ability to use those towards travel expenses. If you use your card a lot this can really save you money over time and adds value to the card.
Compare to other reward cards where the points are nice but can't be as readily applied to travel expenses. If you're a big traveler this card is perfect for you, otherwise it's still pretty good. Definitely a good credit card.

My husband just signed us up for Blue Sky from American express as we plan to travel quite a bit very soon. You earn points that can be redeemed towards statement credits for airline tickets, hotel stays, and other types of travel. This is perfect for a small family that likes to travel quite a bit. We used to use our Discover card, but it only offered perks that allowed to to buy from their store, which I didn't like.

As far as interest rates go, this card isn't terrible (in that we live in a world where credit cards of 17 to 30% are considered normal). However that is about the closest thing I can come to praise for this card. It is not chip enabled so using outside the US is going to be problematic and recently AMEX decided that their interest rates are going to rise. The displayed rates may not actually reflect what you're going to get if you apply. The points program is nothing to crow about either. You get 1 point per dollar spent and a $100 credit for every 7500 points. Honestly, go with capital one or another card, this just doesn't do you much good.

The Blue Sky from American Express card is not my favorite card due to its bonus points program. It has becoming increasingly standard for credit cards to offer some sort of sign-up bonus. This card does not. Nor does it offer any incentive financing rates for the first 3-6 months. It's fee structure is in line with other credit cards I hold with typical foreign transaction fees of 2.7% and 3% on cash back. I do like that it doesn't have an annual fee. Basically this card serves the role of the credit card (for which I give it only 3 stars) but doesn't have any of the bonus offers that people now come to expect.

My sister lives in Maine I live in Florida and that is almost a 3 day road trip.I visit a few times each year. With the Blue Sky card from American Express, it seems every time I go I always save a little bit more each trip.Whether I take a road trip or fly, Blue Sky card really saves me a lot of money.I also Like that I have points that build up with certain purchases and they can be used just about anywhere like a hotel or a rental car.I like that there is no annual fee and I also like that you may pay all at once or over time. The APR is just a tad too high, but every dollar saved really adds up over time and the more I use this card from American Express, the more money I have saved, plus the points that build up is the perfect card for anyone that does a fair amount of travelling.
