I'm very disappointed in this company. Lousy customer service when trying to explain confusion about the $49 fee for another year on the card that I haven't used and thought everything changed over to Alaska. I was not notified that the fee had been charged to my account, after 2 months late fees and ding on my credit card I finally get a call. No refund on the yearly fee. I get emails about everything else, except the fact that it was time for another annual fee to go onto my account! Why no notice of that? Chase Bank is very good about it.

I would give this card 0 stars if possible. It is the worst credit card I've ever had and they charge an annual fee on top to boot. The card took an excessive amount of time to arrive, was near impossible to activate, it was put on hold before I could use it due to "fraudulent activity", I called to have it reinstated and then it still didn't work. I ordered the card in February, didn't receive it until late March and by late April, I was still never able to use the card. I finally gave up and cancelled it. I've never had so many problems with a credit card before.

This is my first credit card and could not be happier with it! I have never had an issue with the card once and I have been using it for every transaction I have had since July 2015. The design is very sleek and modern and everyone loves to compliment it come checkout time. Getting points for every dollar spent and then some, were a big deal for me. Virgin delivers with the perks and benefits many other airlines lack. Being a young college student and interning across the country, I knew I would be traveling east to west coast frequently and Virgin America has always been my airline of choice, so getting the card never felt more right. I have never had a decline or security hold when bouncing around state to state and when I call customer service, they are always fast and friendly to help. Virgin America Visa is also now available for Apple Pay, which makes it one-hundred times easier to checkout and earn points. I am still waiting to get a card with the new chip in it. Comenity says it is expected at some point in 2016. Thank you Virgin America & Community for such a fantastic card! I look forward to using it for years to come!

I switched from United to virgin and got the silver card. While I was traveling, the fraud protection group blocked my card. The fraud protection office was closed when I landed and customer service told me that it was my fault I didn't alert the bank I was traveling.

Very bad fraudulent practices. Was charged the annual fee of $149 dollars. Called within days of that charge to cancel the card because I don't use it anymore. Service representative offered $75 annual fee instead. I said no thanks. So here is the funny business starts. He says he will close the account but will transfer me to a supervisor to have the fee remove because he can't do it. Supervisor gets on the line and says because the card was cancelled she can't remove the annual fee of $149. After having a very heated discussion of how this is ridiculous that is and how she came back and said they reinstated the card, removed the fee then cancelled it. They were obviously trying desperately to screw me. Be very careful with this credit card vendor.

I am beyond disappointed with the Virgin America Visa issued by Comminity Bank.
I love to fly Virgin America to New York and Dallas so I got the Virgin Visa Signature card to use instead of my Platinum AmEx, my Platinum AAdvantage card and my Platinum SW Visa card.
Unfortunately, the Virgin card has been an unpleasant joke from day one. My first few months were full of issues about the over-sensitive and unresponsive "fraud protection" aspects of the card. (For instance, if I would visit my local Ralph's market 3 days of the week, the third charge would be refused as “suspicious". Plus there was no way to easily deal with charge refusal as one would have to call the "fraud number" and answer personal questions in a non-private place. (I've previously noted this in other letters.)
The final nail on the coffin came a few days ago when I called the Virgin America credit card company to get a new card with a chip for use in Europe. First, there are no chips available yet and, secondly, there are "only a few merchants" in Europe who will accept the Virgin America credit card!! Additionally, when I phone customer service most or the people I speak with sound like they arrived yesterday from the local unemployment office; I spend my time educating them :(
Hello?? This is a travel card! Isn't Virgin owned by a European company? How can they diminish themselves by not having chips and/or being able to use the card in Europe? Our local, small, Southwest regional airlines beats them to no end. I'm saddened that I'll stop using the Virgin America credit card because it's such a useless piece of nonsense.
I expect so much better for a quality airlines like Virgin America :(

Instant approval for wife $12,500 CL and for myself $16K CL. Now, we'll see how their Customer Service behaves. Just applied for the $49 cards. If I get numerous transaction rejects due to Fraud Alerts and stuff, problems with claiming our 2 comp tickets, horrible website experience, then these cards wouldn't last a month! I just hope that I am one of those people who ends up with a very good experience with Comenity. So far so good, No problems creating our online accts. and setting up our bank info. for online payments. Crossing our fingers.....

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
I signed up for the Virgin American Visa Credit Card during a promotion of $50 off my flight. The First bad thing of this card, was that they did not charge the flight on my new Virgin American Credit Card, which means I lost out on all of those points in the first place!
Second, they mailed me my $49 annual fee bill in the mail, along with my pin number in a separate mailing. But they NEVER mailed me my actual credit card. Making it impossible for me to start charging $1,000 in the first 90 days to receive my 10,000 Elevate point.
I called customer service, which by the way – the number they give you on your bill is OUT OF SERVICE! When I spoke to the customer service rep they said that it was not their fault that I did not receive my credit card, and that they would not extend the 90 days to charge $1,000. I finally spoke to a “supervisor” who told me that the Elevate customer service rep would give me 10,000 as an inconvenience.
When I spoke to Elevate customer service, they told me that this was not their problem and they would not give me the points. They said I had to call Virgin American Visa back. This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their credit card seems like a SCAM!!!

The Virgin America Credit Card offers about average rewards for a points card. It does require an excellent credit rating which limits the amount of people who would get a card. Unlike the larger card companies like Chase who offer many different cards to a larger range of people. It offers a balance transfer intro rate of 0% for 15 months which is better than most cards who offer a 0% intro rate for only 12 months. All in all the card offers great benefits except for the annual fee which seems a little high for me as many cards out there like Chase offer no annual fees.
