They denied my flood claim after my water heater went out, stating that the water heater had been leaking for a very long time, which it had not. Do not use this company; you will just be throwing away your money. They do not care about you; they just want your money.

We have been customers of Farmers Insurance for nearly 30 years. In November 2025, they sent me a letter stating they were no longer selling landlord insurance in California. However, they mentioned my rental property could be covered by Foremost. The premium increased from $1,200/year to $2,209/year due to this change. We shopped around and obtained insurance from AAA for $1,100/year in December. Consequently, we did not accept Foremost's offer. On March 5, 2026, I received an SMS from my bank indicating my balance was just over $500. This was the result of a $2,209 ACH transfer from American Express. Farmers/Foremost had charged my card for that amount in early February. They enabled autopay on this new policy without my permission and charged it. This is unacceptable. I recommend avoiding them.

Foremost Insurance has a business relationship with AARP. My parents are 93 years old and have had Foremost Insurance for Manufactured Homes for years, paying over $2,000.00 a year based on this year's premium. In January 2026, my parents filed a claim. The hot water line in the wall sprung a leak, and we believe it only leaked when hot water was turned on for the washer. In January, my father took me to the bathroom and showed me that the floor felt soft and spongy. I looked at the contract, found the number for him, and told him to call it the next day, which he did. The entire claim was denied for reasons cited as normal wear and tear, which is blatantly ridiculous; not reported timely because it was not reported before they knew there was an issue, and one day late when he knew. I think she said he had 13 days to report once he suspected an issue.
1. Normal wear and tear is not a hot water leak in the wall that destroys the bathroom floor, part of the wall in the utility room, and part of the floor in the master bedroom. I appealed the decision; it was denied. I wrote to the BBB, and it was denied, although this company did not even respond to the BBB and let it close uncontested. They have a 1.1 rating on a consumer website. Avoid this company at all costs.

I would not recommend Foremost Insurance. I had a pipe break in my laundry room that poured out hundreds of gallons of water, filling my heater vents and walls. They didn't cover it because it appeared to have been an ongoing issue. My house would have floated away. It want a drip it was a pipe that completely popped off my hot water line it took weeks to get back to me, just to deny my claim. Warning: do not get Foremost or Farmers; they are the same company.

My mom died on 12/09/2025. Her manufactured home was transferred into my name on 01/02/2026. I provided the death certificate on two separate occasions, and they acknowledged receipt. I provided documentation showing the home was no longer in my mom's name as of 01/02/2026. I have provided them with a copy of the will. I also sold the home to a third party on 01/27/2026. Foremost has refused to cancel the policy and issue a pro-rated refund to her estate. They don't want to cancel the policy until the renewal date, which is months after my mom died and the home was sold to someone else. I just want people to be aware of how this company does business.

I would run as far away from this company as you can. I've been with them for about a year, because the "price is right." However, you get exactly what you pay for. These representatives do not know what they are doing. And the app isn’t a good source to view your payments. The app will display one thing, but “” their system “” will display another. Every time I call in about my policy, I get a different answer from a different representative each time. They are not in agreement, as if they tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone. I've had to pay extra on several occasions due to being misinformed or given inaccurate information. And speaking to a supervisor? Best wishes with that! The turnaround time to speak to one is 24-48 hours. Or you will wait a very long time if you demand to speak to one urgently, more than 30 minutes. This company is hit or miss, which should not be the case as a paying customer. Reiterating, you get what you pay for. It's very frustrating speaking to these representatives. They are not on the same page at all, and somehow, the customer is affected. Reviews are warnings; please take heed of them. Don't waste your time and money with this company.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had Allstate before but was looking for a lower rate, so I switched to Foremost. They dropped us abruptly. There were a few items that needed repair, which we addressed, but they dropped us regardless. Thanks to Foremost, we now have no coverage for our fully paid-off house. This company is extremely unsatisfactory.

Worst home insurance company to use. I was denied my claim; they said my house did not have any flashing on it. I hired a company to come in and put a new roof on my addition. When they started taking it apart, they found flashing. Their agents have no idea what they are doing or what they are looking for when they come in and inspect a home that was damaged. I called them back, told them there was flashing, and now they will not answer my phone calls or email me back. Do not use this company for homeowners insurance.

Be careful. Foremost Insurance is a scam. On 08/18/25, they charged my credit card over $2,000 without my knowledge, without any signed contract, and without ever providing me a policy or documents. I never authorized this. I already have home insurance with another company. When I called, the representative could barely speak English, refused to help me without a "policy number" I never had, and then hung up on me. No refund, no explanation. This company takes people's money and provides zero service. Be very careful—avoid them at all costs.

Don't waste your time or money with this company. They are truly unworthy of your business because they are typical insurance scammers. They talk a good game to get your business and take your payments, but God forbid you have to file a claim. They will surely deny it. I was with them for five years and never filed a claim, but when I did file a legitimate claim, of course, they found a way to deny it, so ultimately I immediately canceled service with them and will never use them again. Therefore, I suggest you find a more reliable and customer-friendly insurance company.

Here's an honest review, from my experience. July 7, 2025. I was riding across Arizona, headed to the Grand Canyon. It was the first real vacation I'd taken since the late '90s. I had a flat on my motorcycle. Since I had paid for towing, I wanted to use it. By the way, when I purchased the towing package with my policy, I was assured that Foremost had tow companies set up all over the US that specialize in motorcycle towing.
Anyway, after I stopped and safely got off the highway, I called Foremost. They said they were sorry for my troubles and that they would send a tow truck as soon as possible. So, I started receiving texts saying another 5 minutes. After a few of those, the texts said another 10 minutes. After over an hour, I called, and the person claimed they were having a hard time finding anyone in the Flagstaff area to tow a motorcycle. I informed the person I had a heart condition and that it was very hot out there and we had run out of water. The "I'm so sorry" came out. Yeah, right.
My son, when we first stopped, searched and called a tow company. They had a driver who wasn't busy at that moment and could be there in about 30 minutes. I, like a fool, believed the insurance company had my back. I told the lady to forget it and that I'd find a tow company myself. They still debited my bank account for $111.00 for some reason.
So I called the tow company that my son had called. By that time, their drivers were all busy. So it was another hour. Oh, yes. CC Towing Inc., 928-527-8697, EXCELLENT! They did a fine job and showed up when they said they would.
If it hadn't been for my girlfriend and my son's fiancee being nurses, I would have been in the ER. They knew how to deal with heat exhaustion. Thank the Lord for them. I'm back home and now getting the runaround on the phone trying to get my $111.00 back and hopefully get reimbursed for the tow bill. This insurance company doesn't care about their customers at all. I should have known. When I first set up my policy, I set up auto-draft, and all was supposed to be taken care of, ready to ride. Then, 3 months later, I received notice in the mail that my policy had been canceled for non-payment. I almost panicked. I called them up, and the clown who originally set up the policy forgot to start the auto-draft. So I paid the full policy there and then.
There is a reason they are half the price of Geico. It's because they have no intention of standing behind their customers or honoring their obligations. This is true and accurate. I waited to write this review so I wouldn't do it out of anger, but honestly and fairly.

I have my Camp Trailer insured with Foremost Insurance. On the 3rd of July, we were on a long trip in the middle of Yellowstone National Park. We had a wheel bearing fail, resulting in the Park Rangers sending us a Tow Company that would haul the trailer all the way to Idaho Falls (nearly 3 hours away). This could have been a disaster! Foremost Insurance came through! We turned in a claim and have been reimbursed within a week! Thank you, Foremost! If I could give 20 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat! Thanks. D. Love.
