American Airlines credit card interest rates are variable, meaning it can change based on certain economic conditions.
American Airlines credit card gives you a 23-day grace period to avoid paying interest on your purchases. The grace period runs from the end of the billing period until the card's payment due date. You won't owe any interest if you pay your balance in full during that timeframe. Should you decide to carry a balance on your credit card, it will accumulate interest daily at the card's regular APR.
In addition to the regular rate, American Airlines credit cards come with a separate interest rate for cash advances and a penalty rate for delinquent payments. The interest rates will be listed on the card's monthly statement and online account summary.

The American Airlines credit card interest is from around 16% up to nearly 25% on all of its consumer and business cards. The exact interest rate will depend on the applicant’s creditworthiness. The better an applicant’s credit profile, the better the chance of getting a lower rate upon approval.
All American Airlines credit cards have multiple interest rates. Each charges around 25% interest daily on cash advances and a penalty APR of more than 29% for late payments.
