Key Things to Know About the Amex Global Lounge Collection
1. Cards that offer complimentary access:
Only American Express Platinum Card®, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express and Centurion® Card from American Express cardholders can get complimentary access to the lounges.
2. Lounges:
The airport lounge brands that belong to the Amex Global Lounge Collection are:
- The Centurion® Lounge
- Delta Sky Club®
- Priority Pass Select
- Plaza Premium
- Lufthansa
- Escape
Keep in mind that Priority Pass Select requires enrollment and have access to airport lounges without a set visit limit.
With the Platinum Card® and the American Express Business Platinum card, card members will receive 10 visits to the Delta Sky Club (to be used from February 1 until January 31 of the next calendar year). Unlimited Delta Sky Club access can be unlocked by spending $75,000 on the card in a calendar year.
3. Amenities:
Different lounges offer different amenities. But in general, you can expect to receive free Wi-Fi, complimentary snacks and beverages, charging stations and comfortable seating. Depending on the lounge network and location, you might also find things like business meeting rooms, printing, newspapers, showers and more.
4. How to enter:
You will need to present your credit card and ID to enter. In some cases, you will also need a same-day boarding pass. Each lounge has their own access rules, including how many guests you can bring in at no additional cost and how much it costs to bring in additional guests.
The Global Lounge Collection is a valuable perk. Buying a membership for even one of these individual lounges can cost hundreds of dollars. But as long as you have one of the eligible Amex cards, you get complimentary access to each lounge.
