The current bonus is 70,000 points for spending $10,000 within 3 months of account opening. You can still earn a lot of bonus points with the current American Express Business Gold card promotional offers. Take a look at some of the card's other features below.
Here's what the American Express Business Gold card currently offers:
High initial bonus. You'll earn 70,000 points for spending $10,000 within 3 months of account opening. In addition, points are worth up to 1 cent each. You can redeem your points for gift cards or book travel through Amex Travel. So, that's a worthwhile return on the $10,000 you have to spend.
Extra points in bonus categories. With this card you can earn 4 points per $1 in the two select categories with the most spending (up to $150,000 per year combined) and 1 point on all other purchases. The categories include airfare purchased directly from airlines, and U.S. purchases on advertising in select media, shipping, gas stations, computer hardware/software/cloud solutions, and restaurants.
Airline Bonus. You get 25% of your points back after using them to book flights through Amex Travel, up to 250,000 per calendar year.
Free employee cards. You can add employees as authorized users on your account.

You're also insured up to a specified amount for lost or damaged baggage, emergency assistance, and trip delays. Plus, there's a 0% foreign transaction fee for any transactions that involve international merchants.
Moreover, Amex will sometimes temporarily boost their initial bonus offer on their website. So, make sure to occasionally check for any updates. You can also get other types of bonus points every month and various other perks to sweeten the deal.
The decision to apply isn't a no-brainer, though. You should definitely consider other cards, too. A good option is the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, which offers 100,000 points for spending $15,000 in the first 3 months. Another decent choice is the Capital One Spark Cash Plus, which offers $500 for spending $5,000 in the first 3 months and $500 for spending $50,000 in the first 6 months.

Nightmare Credit Department.
As a business based in central London it's the norm to make large amount transactions American Express claim to think their business card doesn't have a limit of spend I can assure you their description and service provided do not meet, as the spending limit keeps changing and most of the time it has to be approved though the credit team via a phone call.
And now I closed my account what a shame!!

Approached at airport to sign up for this card. Already had a few. Signed up anyway as some pressure applied. Did a status check to see where I sat with the promotion 80% at the spending goal and was told there was no promotion. So I closed all AMEX cards but this one and plan to close this one. Beware!

This is a gimmick card. The telephone salesperson kept telling me that 3x the points on our large online media buys was the same as 3% back. It is not.
I will stay with my Fidelity Visa that is 2% cash back into a money market account with no limit.
American Express has more gimmicks than real useful deals.

We have had this business card for a few years now. Things we really liked about this card are: the bonus points we got upon sign up, first year membership free and the exceptional customer service and online account management tools from American Express. They also have plenty of great ways to redeem your points. In general, the value for each point equates to about a dollar - however, there are some things that seemed more expensive to redeem. For e.g. if you plan to exchange these points for Starwood SPG points it works about to about 3:1 - which I think is a bit too much. Also, we are not really happy that they have increased the annual fee this year to $175 - this is a good chunk if you are really small business owner and takes a good chunk out of the points you can potentially earn in an year.

We love using this card for all of our business needs. When we signed up we received over $500 in bonus points that were quickly used on some much needed expenses. We love the no preset spending limit as well. This has helped us purchase things that we haven't been able to easily in the past. A lot of our business is done via credit card and being a newer business our limit was always reached easily on our other card that we have. The things you can redeem your points for are also awesome. There are so many different types of items you can get. We also love the bonuses that they offer every season with different types of merchants. I would recommend this card to any business looking for a great solution.

This Business Gold Rewards Card from American Express isn't a consumer card, that's for sure. The hefty $175 dollar fee makes it nearly unaffordable for most people, but this is definitely a business card. No preset spending limit makes it a great card for any size business though, except that payment must be paid every month with this card. So if your company can afford it, this card makes a great card to put your balance on. There's no fee the first year either, and the rewards program is pretty good. Compared to a Capital One Spark Business, that card allows you to rack up a balance, but this one has no preset spending limit. I think this card is quite good if your business can afford to use it.

The Business Gold Rewards Card® from American Express is a great corporate card, or for the wealthy individual who makes travel a large part of their life. With the large point bonuses on gas and airfare rates and the need to spend 5k in the first 3 months to activate the full bonus points, it's obvious who this card is intended for. Also, it's definitely a business card and not suited to the individual as the balance must be paid off before at the beginning of every month. Unlike every other card I have had (including my Oklahoma State Alumni card) this has no pre-set spending limit. So you're free to "grow your business". Oh happy day.

I got this card at my job for company expenses. I felt in love with how easy it was to use this card. They give you points you can use to book flights etc. I had enough points to book a flight within 6 months and it was a tremendous help. I personally thought that it's an amazing card for corporations and if I ever have my own company this is the card I will use for my expenses. I don't think it's a good card for an individual just because when I applied for it they gave me very limited credit limit and their late fees was too much.

Small business owners have a lot of important decisions to make and which credit card(s) to use for company spending is merely one of them, so I’ll try to make this little review of The “New” Business Gold Rewards Card from American Express Open a short one. First of all, it’s important to point our that the Amex Gold Business Card is a charge card, not a traditional credit card, which means you need to pay your balance in full every month. That’s actually a good thing though, for two reasons: 1) The CARD Act does not apply to small business credit cards so you shouldn’t use one to revolve a balance anyway 2) charge cards often have better rewards. Speaking of rewards, the American Express Gold Business Card offers 3 points for every dollar you spend on airfare, 2 points on advertising, gas and shipping, and 1 point on everything else. You also automatically save 3-10% on every purchase you make through FedEx, OfficeMax, Hertz, etc. Therefore, it offers you good rewards on some of your most important expenses. In this regard, it passes the test, so to speak. Obviously, interest rates don’t apply to charge cards, so let’s move to the American Express Open Gold Card’s fees. It doesn’t have a membership fee during the first year and while it charges $175 beginning in the second year, the rewards and membership benefits are likely worth it (enhanced spending tracking and management features, purchase and travel insurance, roadside assistance, etc.).
Nevertheless, you may want some alternatives. The Capital One Spark Cash for Business and the Citi Platinum Select Credit Card are good options for everyday purchases and revolving debt, respectively. Whether you choose one of these cards or American Express’ Gold Business Charge Card, you really can’t go wrong (as long as you use them for the right kinds of transactions).
