The Platinum Card® does not offer priority boarding. Priority boarding is a benefit that allows cardholders to get to their seat sooner than general boarding groups. One of the best American Express cards that offer priority boarding is the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card. The priority boarding status will be noted on your boarding pass if the ticket was purchased with an eligible SkyMiles® card. The benefit is valid only for flights on Delta and Delta-affiliated airlines.
While you can’t get priority boarding with Platinum Card®, you may be eligible for a welcome offer as high as 175,000 points for spending $8,000 on eligible purchases within the first 6 months (welcome offers vary and you may not be eligible for an offer; apply and, if approved, find out your offer amount and accept the card with your offer, spend $8,000 in 6 months, and receive the points). This card also offers 5 points per $1 spent on flights booked with airlines or with American Express Travel® (up to $500,000 spent per year), 5 points per $1 spent on prepaid hotels booked with American Express Travel®, and 1 point per $1 spent on all other eligible purchases.
