How to Report a Lost Bank of America Credit Card
- Call Bank of America customer service at 1 (800) 732-9194.
- Inform the customer service representative that you’ve lost your credit card.
- Verify your identity by providing any requested information, such as your date of birth or the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- Ask the Bank of America rep to cancel your old credit card and send a replacement.
Replacement cards from Bank of America will generally arrive within 7-10 business days. You may be able to get expedited delivery when you call to report the lost card, but make sure to ask whether there will be a fee. Once you receive the replacement card, you will need to activate it before making any purchases.
Finally, you won’t be held liable for fraudulent charges made by anyone who may have found or stolen your Bank of America card. This is because all Bank of America credit cards have a $0 liability guarantee. That said, you should still report any unauthorized charges as soon as you notice them on your billing statement.
