Your new card will be ready to make purchases in just a few moments, no matter which activation method you use. Citibank does not have a certain time limit within which you need to activate your card, but it's best to do it as soon as possible.
How to Activate a Best Buy® Credit Card
- By phone: Call 1 (888) 574-1301 or the number on the sticker attached to the front of the card. Verify your personal information (e.g., Social Security number, card number, or phone number associated with your application) to activate your Best Buy® Credit Card.
- On the website: Log in to your Citibank account (or create an account if you don't already have one) and find the activation page. Enter any required security information, including your card number, the name as it appears on the card, security code and the last 4 digits of your SSN. Activate your Best Buy® Credit Card as instructed.
