The amount of the fee to add an authorized user to your credit card depends on the card you have. Most credit cards don’t charge a fee to add an authorized user. One of these cards is Chase Sapphire Preferred. All Capital One credit cards don’t have additional fees to add a user to your card either.
However, there are some credit cards that do charge a fee for adding an authorized user. One of the most notable is the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, where the cost to add an authorized user is $75 per person.
