Best Buy® Credit Card rewards work by giving cardholders 0.5 - 2.5 points per $1 spent. Cardholders can then redeem these rewards for reward certificates through your online account or by visiting store. Those are the basics, but there are a few other things to know about how Best Buy® Credit Card rewards work before you start earning and redeeming.
How Best Buy® Credit Card Rewards Work
- Earn rate on purchases: 2.5 points per $1 spent on Best Buy purchases, 1.5 points per $1 spent at gas stations, 1 point per $1 spent at restaurants (including takeout), bars and grocery stores, and 0.5 points per $1 spent on all other purchases
- Initial bonus: 10% back in rewards (5 points per $1 spent) on your first day of purchases made within 14 days
- Redemption options: Reward certificates, which can be applied as a discount towards your Best Buy purchases
- Methods for redemption: Through your online account or by visiting store
- Rewards expiration: Rewards never expire as long as the account remains open and in good standing
- Average value of 1 point: 2 cents
You can learn more about how to redeem Best Buy® Credit Card rewards here on WalletHub. Keep in mind that no matter how you choose to spend your rewards, it’s always best to redeem them regularly as they don’t do you any good sitting unused in your account. Also, you should pay your balance on time and in full every month, so fees and interest don’t wipe out all of your gains from rewards.
