Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card rewards give cardholders an incentive to make purchases, which generate revenue for the credit card company, and earning rewards can save you money on the things you buy. Cardholders earn 4 points per $1 spent on Southwest Airlines® purchases (including flights, inflight, and Southwest gift cards), 2 points per $1 spent at gas stations and restaurants, and 1 point per $1 on all other purchases.
How Southwest Priority Card Rewards Work
- Earn rate on purchases: 4 points per $1 spent on Southwest Airlines® purchases (including flights, inflight, and Southwest gift cards), 2 points per $1 spent at gas stations and restaurants, and 1 point per $1 on all other purchases
- Initial bonus: 85,000 points for spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months
- How to find your redemption options: Go to the redemption portal in your online account, check the terms and conditions of your rewards program, or call customer service at the number on the back of your card.
Keep in mind that no matter how you choose to spend your rewards, it’s always best to redeem them regularly, as they won’t do you any good sitting unused in your account. It’s also a good idea to pay your bill on time and in full every month, so fees and interest don’t wipe out all of your gains from rewards.
