The Capital One Savor Card that charged an annual fee is no longer available to new applicants as of July 2024. The confusing part is that the old Capital One SavorOne Card, which has no annual fee, was subsequently rebranded as the Capital One Savor Card. As a result, the two cards – Savor and SavorOne – are now just one card.
What You Should Know If You Have the Original Capital One Savor Card
- You will still be able to use the card, and it will be subject to the account’s original terms, including the $95 annual fee.
- The card will maintain its rewards structure, giving 1 - 5% cash back on purchases, including 4% cash back on dining, entertainment, and popular streaming services.
- Once that card expires, you will receive a new, redesigned card. The account’s original terms and rewards structure will carry over to the new card.
What New Capital One Savor Cardholders Should Know
- New applicants and existing SavorOne cardholders whose cards expire, or get lost or stolen, will receive a new card with a more modern and sleek design.
- Capital One Savor offers $300 in welcome bonuses: a $100 credit to use towards flights, stays and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel during your first cardholder year (limited-time offer), plus a $200 cash bonus for spending $500 on purchases in the first 3 months.
- All other features and rewards will remain the same for the rebranded Capital One Savor as they were for the original SavorOne card, including the $0 fee, introductory APR promotions, and 1 - 8% cash back on purchases.
Capital One Savor requires good credit for approval. To see if you qualify, check your credit score for free here on WalletHub.
Capital One also offers a Savor-branded credit card for less-than-good credit. The old Capital One SavorOne Student Cash Rewards Credit Card is now known as the Capital One Savor Student Cash Rewards Credit Card. The new card will continue to give 1 - 8% cash back on purchases with a $0 annual fee. New applicants will receive the redesigned card upon approval, while existing cardholders will get their new-look card when their current card expires or is lost or stolen.
