You can pay your Chase credit card with a debit card at select ATMs. To do so, insert your credit card and follow the on-screen instructions to make a payment. Alternatively, you can a pay a Chase card with the checking account that your debit card is linked to, by doing an electronic transfer. Chase offers several other payment methods, too.
Here’s how to pay your Chase credit card:
- Online: To make a direct transfer from your checking account, log on to your Chase account and click the “Pay Card” button. Then, from the “Pay From” drop-down menu, select “Add an Account” and enter your checking account number and routing number. There’s no limit to the number of accounts you can add, but you must select one primary account from which the funds would be withdrawn.
- Chase Mobile app: You can also make a Chase credit card payment through the Chase Mobile app.
- By phone: You can pay your Chase credit card bills with the checking account attached to your debit card by calling customer service at (800) 945-2000. You’ll have to verify your name, address, and last four digits of your SSN. You’ll then have to provide the routing number to the checking account.
- At a branch: You can also visit a local Chase Bank branch during normal business hours and pay in person.
- At an ATM: You can pay your Chase credit card at select Chase ATMs. This method will not require a PIN. You only need to insert your credit card and follow the on-screen instructions to make a payment. This option allows you to pay directly with a debit card.
- By mail: You can also mail your Chase payment. Just send a check or money order (with your account number written on the memo line) and your payment coupon to:

Yes, you can, either by phone or at a branch. It won't work online though.

So I just tried to do this by calling Chase and asking them if I could use a debit card to pay my credit card bill and was promptly told that this is not possible.
