You can check your PNC Bank credit card application status by calling the underwriting team at (800) 762-0974. It should only take a few minutes to find out whether your application is approved, denied, or pending. You cannot check your PNC application status online.
How to Check Your PNC Credit Card Application Status
- Call (800) 762-0974 and press #3.
- When prompted, press #2, and you will be connected to a live representative.
- Give your Social Security Number, date of birth, and your mother’s maiden name.
- Listen for the customer service rep to tell you if your application is pending, approved, or denied.
Typically, you’ll receive a decision on your PNC credit card application within 7-10 business days. Many applicants are approved much sooner than that (24-48 hours). If it's been longer than that but you still haven't received a decision, you can always call the underwriting team to ask about the delay.
Ultimately, if you get denied, you can still ask PNC's credit card underwriters to reconsider your application.
