You can add a Synchrony Bank credit card authorized user by calling 1-877-295-2080 or the number on the back of your card. Please note that not all Synchrony Bank credit cards offer the possibility to add authorized users.
By adding an authorized user you can help them build their credit, since Synchrony Bank reports their financial activity to Experian and TransUnion on a monthly basis.
Keep in mind that authorized users have limited access to your account. They can make purchases and withdraw cash, but you will be the one responsible for making the payments. They cannot close the account, request a credit limit increase or add additional users.
