The difference between a normal credit card and a travel card is that travel cards tend to reward cardholders for making travel-related purchases more than anything else. Furthermore, travel credit cards usually offer rewards in the form of miles or points, and you get the most value when redeeming for travel expenses.
Travel credit cards commonly offer features such as travel insurance, no foreign transaction fee, airport lounge access, and reimbursement for TSA PreCheck/Global Entry application fees. Normal credit cards are less likely to have these features.
