You can use your Target Credit Card in-store without the physical card. They will be able to look up your account in-store if you bring along your credit card billing statement.

However, if your card is lost, the most important thing to do is to call customer service immediately at 1-800-424-6888. This way, you can prevent fraudulent charges and ensure you are forgiven any potential debt.

That actually is not true - they can't look up your card information. The only way you can do it is to have it loaded into the Target app and have them scan your Target Circle barcode at the register.

I ALWAYS shop without my physical card, leaving it in a safe place at home. Just install the Target app and navigate to the "Wallet" icon. Add your card there and confirm it (e.g., via PIN or SMS). Voila! They can now scan your barcode on your phone (within your app) to pay! You have the choice of turning the card OFF, too, so that you can pay via other means when necessary--but still use points, offers, etc. Much more elegant than bringing in your statement!
