You can get pre-approved for the Walmart® Store Card by visiting the issuer’s pre-approval webpage. You may also receive a pre-approved offer in the mail. Keep in mind that getting pre-approved indicates that you have high odds for approval, but it does not guarantee it.
Here's how to get pre-approved for the Walmart® Store Card:
- Visit the dedicated pre-approval page.
- Enter your name, date of birth, Social Security Number, contact and financial information.
- Click “See If You’re Pre-Approved” to view any pre-approved offers.
To respond to a Walmart® Store Card pre-approved offer received in the mail, visit the website listed in your pre-approval letter and enter the invitation code included with your offer. Alternatively, you can call the number included in your offer letter. This allows the issuer to flag the application as pre-approved.
The Walmart® Store Card pre-approvals result in a soft pull, which doesn’t affect your credit score. But if you decide to apply for the Walmart® Store Card, the issuer will do a hard inquiry, which will drop your credit score by a few points temporarily.
