To get a Wells Fargo cash advance, use a Wells Fargo credit card and a corresponding PIN at a participating ATM and withdraw the cash, up to the card’s available cash advance limit. If you do not have a PIN, contact Wells Fargo customer service at 1 (800) 642-4720 to request one.
How to Get a Wells Fargo Cash Advance at an ATM
- Call Wells Fargo customer service at 1 (800) 642-4720 and request a PIN, if you don’t already have one.
- Insert the credit card into an ATM and enter the PIN.
- Select the cash advance option on the ATM screen.
- Enter the amount you’d like to withdraw.
- Withdraw the cash and remove the credit card from the ATM.
There may be other ways to get a cash advance from your Wells Fargo credit card, too. For example, you can request a cash advance in person at a local Wells Fargo branch. You could also fill out a Wells Fargo cash advance check and use it like a traditional bank check.
Keep in mind that a Wells Fargo cash advance is a very expensive transaction. For starters, a cash advance fee and a separate cash advance APR apply as soon as you withdraw the cash. There may also be ATM-owner fees, depending on where you get the cash advance.

All cash advances are very expensive, and I personally recommend against them. That being said, the fee for a Wells Fargo cash advance is the greater of either $10 or 5% of the withdrawn amount. And you also need to consider the interest rate, which can be anywhere between 25.24% and 27.24%, depending on your credit worthiness. The cash advance can be withdrawn from an ATM.

Wells Fargo isn't exactly the best card to take cash out of. Up to 27% APR, and a minimum of $10 fee, I'd think twice before withdrawing.
As far as doing it, if you have a PIN already, you can just go to any ATM. If not, call them to request one first.
