One notable Amex card that lets you carry a balance from month to month is the Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express. This card allows you to carry over what you owe, as long as you make at least the minimum payment each month.
That said, carrying a balance isn’t usually a great idea unless you’re in a 0% intro APR period. Credit card interest can add up fast and make purchases more expensive over time. If your card does come with an introductory 0% APR offer, that can give you some breathing room, but just be sure to pay it off before the regular interest rate kicks in.
Amex Cards That Let You Carry a Balance
It should be noted that some American Express cards only let you carry a balance through a built-in Pay Over Time feature, at an APR decided by Amex at account opening. However, not all transactions qualify, and there's a limit to how much you can carry using this feature. Any charge not part of the Pay Over Time balance is due in full before the due date. These cards come with a no preset spending limit, meaning your purchasing power adjusts with your use of the card. No preset spending limit does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors including spending patterns, your payment history, your credit history, and other factors.
