No, First Premier Bank will probably not waive the program fee for the First PREMIER Bank Mastercard. The program fee has to be paid in order to open your account, after your application is approved, and it serves to offset the risk associated with the credit card account. So, it’s unlikely that you can get it waived, though it doesn’t hurt to ask.
If you’re looking for a credit card that doesn’t charge a program fee, then consider the Credit One Bank® Platinum Visa® for Rebuilding Credit instead. This card was designed for applicants with bad credit and it offers 0 - 1% cash back on purchases. You can also check out WalletHub’s editors’ picks for the best credit cards for people with bad credit, most of which do not charge a program fee.
