The AARP Rewards program is a free loyalty program that allows participants to earn points through various activities and redeem them for rewards. Additionally, AARP members, who pay $16 per year, the price of an AARP membership, enjoy enhanced benefits. They receive an additional 50% in points compared to non-members and gain exclusive access to reserved rewards. Here's how the program generally works:
How To Earn AARP Points
- Points can be collected wherever you encounter the AARP Rewards badge.
- Interact with apps like AARP Now to earn points.
- Participate in AARP programs such as AARP® Staying Sharp® by watching videos and completing challenges to acquire points.
- Engage in AARP games to score up to 900 points daily by solving challenging crossword puzzles or playing multiplayer games with friends.
- Sync a fitness tracker or health app with AARP Rewards to earn points. Once connected, points are awarded daily for achieving step, cycling, and swimming goals.
- Participants have the opportunity to accumulate up to 5,000 points daily. AARP members can potentially earn even more—up to 7,500 points daily.
How To Redeem AARP Rewards Points
- Sweepstakes entries
- Gift cards (including discounted gift cards to top brands)
- Local deals and discounts to favorite stores, restaurants, grocery stores, box stores, clothing stores, and more
- Magazines
- Charitable contributions

It's important to note that any unused AARP Rewards points expire 12 months after they are earned, in monthly batches on a rolling basis.
