50,000 Delta miles are worth an average of $570, according to WalletHub data. You will get the best value for your Delta miles if you use them for flights booked through Delta, though there are a few other redemption options to choose from.
You can use WalletHub’s Delta Miles Value Calculator to estimate the cash value of your Delta miles.

Values in the table assume you redeem for a flight. Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, and Southwest use points rather than miles, but they function the same way for earning and redeeming flights.
Delta miles are typically worth between 1.07 cents and 1.53 cents each when redeemed for award flights, while other redemption options generally provide less value. Miles do not expire as long as your account remains in good standing, and there are no blackout dates on Delta-operated flights. You can redeem Delta miles through the Delta website, as well as the American Express Membership Rewards® center or the Amex mobile app if you have a Delta credit card.
WalletHub estimated the value of Delta Miles by comparing flight rates between U.S. cities and popular travel destinations – both domestic and international – to the number of miles needed to book a flight. We applied the process to round-trip flights from Friday to Monday for each destination’s high and shoulder tourist seasons. These values are approximate and intended for illustrative purposes only. Actual mile values may vary based on redemption method and individual usage. The estimates provided do not represent fixed or guaranteed values and may differ from the experience of typical cardholders.
