To get a companion ticket with Frontier Airlines, you need to reach either Elite Platinum or Elite Diamond status in the Frontier Miles program. This requires earning 50,000 or 100,000 Elite Status Points in a calendar year. Elite Status Points are earned by spending on Frontier flights and extras like seat selection or baggage purchases, or by using the Frontier Airlines Credit Card.
How the Frontier Companion Ticket Works
- Eligible members can bring a companion on any Frontier flight, as many times as they wish throughout the year, with no blackout dates.
- The companion only pays government taxes and fees, starting at $5.60 per flight segment—there is no additional ticket price.
- You can bring a different person each time you fly.
- The companion must have a Frontier Miles account and be added to your reservation at booking.
- This benefit doesn’t apply to GoWild! Pass bookings, and companions don’t earn miles or status credits.
Once you qualify and understand how the benefit works, booking a companion ticket is easy. Just follow these steps through your Frontier Miles account.
How to Book a Frontier Companion Ticket
- Log in to your Frontier Miles account on flyfrontier.com.
- Begin the booking process and select travel for at least two people.
- Add your companion’s details on the traveler information page.
- Complete the booking; the payment page will confirm the companion benefit.
- Pay the required taxes and fees for your companion.
