Joining Delta SkyMiles with a free basic membership gives you benefits like miles that never expire, the ability to earn and redeem miles on Delta flights and partner airlines, access to member-exclusive pricing and offers, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi on flights, and preferred pricing on CLEAR Plus membership.
Earning Delta SkyMiles Elite Status
You can reach the lowest elite membership status level – Silver Medallion – by accumulating 5,000 Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) in a calendar year. This will give you access to perks such as earning 7 miles per dollar spent on Delta flights, unlimited complimentary upgrades to First Class and Delta Comfort+ for you and a companion, and one free checked bag for you and up to eight companions. Each elite status tier offers additional savings and benefits.
