Big Lots Credit Card's Additional Info
Deferred Interest Details: No Interest if paid in full within 6 or 12 months on a minimum purchase of $250 or $750.
BIG Rewards Members can earn $5 back in Rewards for every $100 in purchases charged to your Big Lots Credit Card or can choose financing options.
Good rewards deal. You’ll get $5 for every $100 spent on the Big Lots Credit Card once you are enrolled in the rewards program. This is a good deal considering that the best store credit cards offer 5% “cash” back on all purchases. The downside is that purchases placed on a promotional credit plan will not earn rewards.
Extremely high regular APR. The Big Lots Credit Card’s regular APR is higher than even the market-average penalty rate: 27.29%, according to WalletHub’s latest Credit Card Landscape Report. That underscores the danger of the card’s deferred-interest clause and illustrates the folly in carrying a balance from month to month when its standard terms are in effect.
No annual fee. Hardly any store credit cards charge an annual fee. So while the Big Lots Card’s lack of such a fee will save you about $27.85 per year compared to the average credit card, this feature is to be expected.
Fair credit required. As is the case with most store cards, you need at least fair credit to qualify for the Big Lots Credit Card. But you should only consider it if you have fair credit. And even then, it’s unlikely to be the best choice.
People with good or excellent credit can definitely get better 0% cards, after all. And while 0% cards that don’t have deferred interest typically aren’t available to people with fair credit, those folks can still get cards with much lower regular rates. If you don’t know where your credit currently stands, you can check your latest credit score for free on WalletHub.

Beware of the Big Lots credit card. I had one and just canceled it. If I made a purchase using it within a week of the previous use, it would get declined at the register. This happened more than once, and I never missed a payment. When I called, the reason was "suspicious activity". Furthermore, the customer service representative was rude and said, "Well, we need to make sure we'll get our money." It was very embarrassing to be declined at the register, to say the least. Additionally, I finally paid off the final balance. The following month I received a $2 bill. I sent a message and they refused to remove it. I finally called and got a nice representative who took the charge off and I closed the account. Not a good card at all.

Do not purchase furniture at Biglots. They claim it is 0% interest for 12 months, but they lie and charge interest. Then, when trying to correct the error, they give you the runaround. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and to corporate.

I don't recommend this credit card unless it's for furniture purchases, for many reasons, but primarily because the online portal is neither user-friendly nor easy to use.

I would give no stars if allowed. Stay far away from this bank. Customer service is like talking to a wall, scripted and not helpful. I only got a response via email; no help from calling. There's false advertisement for no interest on a large purchase, and they did not honor it. They kept adding on interest charges despite proof of purchase and meeting requirements. Beware!

They charge a $30 late fee even if you pay in-store a day late. Progressive Leasing is better. The Big Lots card doesn't count a second payment in the same month as the next month's payment; it just adds it as an extra payment for that month. So, if you think you're making an early payment to avoid a late fee, think again. And if you make it too late, they charge a fee. It's a no-win situation.

They offered the card and I applied and received a card with a $1000 limit. I was saving and waiting for a furniture sale. The next thing I know, the card is canceled for non-use without any warning. They said they would reinstate it, but it would require another hard pull on my credit. I told them no thanks, as my score dropped from the first pull and again when the account closed, and I never used it. I will never buy anything from Big Lots again, and shame on Comenity Bank too. You could have told someone to use the card before just closing it. Thanks for nothing.

First let me start by saying I love me some Big Lots! A wide variety of things that I can get there including stuff for my backyard or some new furniture to snacks for my grandkids but be aware THE INTEREST RATE IS VERY HIGH. Get a few things to get your balance rotated and possible credit limit increases but don't keep it more than two or three months with a balance.. JUST ENOUGH TO REPORT
