They have the worst, most useless service department in history. I had a 750 credit score with an account basically with every big creditor (American Express, Citi, Chase,BofA, etc) I had a deserve account for about 3 years with no use because I created the account for the credit history not the usage. (I opened it as a 18yo student) They mistakenly added a missed payment to my account that plunged my credit score to 640. I tried calling them and they basically play hot potato with you until you give up, and they won't own up to their mistake. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD. It is basically worthless, and there are way better options with better benefits out there (like discover student card, citi custom cash card, etc) If you have a problem, deserve won't stand by you to help, DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD.

It is probably a good entry card for at most first year students. I liked first year free Amazon student prime. But after that there is nothing- not satisfactory credit limit enhancement, no upgrades, no exciting rewards even with improvement in credit history. I almost forgot about it until one day I received cancellation notice that Deserve cancelled my notice without even giving a chance to come back.

They pre-approved me on their website, then declined me after I filled out the application for the reason of "too many inquiries" - which they could have seen from the soft-pull for the pre-approval (there were 8). Then, as a parting ϜU, they added another one to my credit report.

The Deserve card is a (very) basic but okay credit card to hold on to but I tend to prefer paying with other cards that have higher rewards. Tend to use it as a backup payment method if Visa or AMEX aren’t accepted. In my case I was approved without a hard pull, but the initial credit limit was not competitive compared to my other cards.

Do not trust them. They didn't credit me with the advertised promotion and ignored my request for fixing it... It's always a red light when customer service fails to help even right at the first moment.

I have had the card for almost 3 years, and it is not showing on any of the credit bureaus. It is a scam, it does not help you building any credit. Customer service is extremely rude and unhelpful, stay away from this shady company

This is a shady company. They request that you provide your online bank log in AND password in order process your application. I can understand needing to verify but asking for a password to your bank account seems a bit extreme.

Deserve Cards is a shady company. I was denied due to the "inability to provide sufficient income". Petal Card, however, approved us for 4500. Support is incapable of helping, stay away from this company. After emailing they told me I would have to call so they can verify my identity. Calling them results in someone who "is incapable" of helping you and recommends you apply again. Reapplied, some deal again. Email support keeps telling me to call which results in the above. Frustrating - just like big banks.
