Don't apply for this card, as they give you a minimum to pay so you won't get charged interest, but then they charge you interest after you pay the minimum.

Nice to have this account on hand. It was nice to have an account with zero interest when paid in full by a certain time. I am grateful for this account.

The promotional deferred interest feature on purchases can be hard to track on the website. It is not clearly displayed or tracked in the statements. I have to call the customer service department and sit on hold for 20 minutes to get answers, which is important in order to avoid paying high interest if I don't pay off the purchase in a certain time period.

Closed account without warning. We pay everything on time, everytime, and most of the time more than min, depending on what is on there. We have 100% on time payment history with everything we have....never late. I have other Sych accounts, they will be paid off and closed soon, do not reccomend.

I wanted to comment on this because I am so livid with synchrony bank. I applied for a QVC card around Christmas to get the $60 credit on a purchase, and was denied. I have excellent credit so this was very surprising. The reason was “unsatisfactory payment history with synchrony bank…” yet I have never paid ANYTHING late with them or anyone else. My score is 800+. I filed an adverse action for the decision bc I wanted to know what the reason was. I was told I could reapply for the account. WHY WOULD I DO THAT!? Fast forward about a month, and they closed ALL my synchrony bank accounts without warning or any reason. I had a Lowe’s card for nearly 20 years. And they closed it! Along with my HSN card. BOTH were paid in full and always in good standing. I am so upset with them because my score dropped due to closing accounts and I do use my Lowe’s card occasionally. I don’t necessarily care about the HSN card but it’s just the principal. I called and was told the reason for closing my accounts was noted as “high risk of failure to pay.” That is laughable! If they aren’t lending to people with excellent credit, 100% on time payment history…. What are they doing?? I am appalled that they would close out an account that’s been open since 2006, that has always been on good standing. .

This card was amazing at first..credit wasnt amazing when I first applied and I had to apply to be able to afford unexpected tire emergency..think the cost was around 800 dollars..was approved dont recall the exact amount but was under the 0 percent no apr etc for 12 months. I made it my mission to get that paid off early and I did. A couple months later my limit was slashed down to 350 with no warning at all...dont recall why..my credit was a lot better so have been able to apply for a few more cards with much better terms rewards, credit limits etc but I enjoyed using this one to fill up my gas..a quick snack at gas station etc then paying this off every month. With a limit this low cant see the sense of keeping a balance on it. Tonight they have closed this card without warning..yes I have one account in collections from a few years back but I had approximately 8 when I applied. One of the closure reasons was carrying to many cards which is true but I've been paying them every month and on time. Im a lot more responsible now. Im not even that mad just in disbelief on them closing on a 350 cl when I generally spend maybe 50 dollars or less each month on this card and pay off the balance every month. I would only recommend this card if like me you were in an emergency situation and physically in the store but other than that..I'd stay far far far away from this one.
