Do I need a checking or savings account to get the primor Secured Gold card?
You cannot get the Green Dot primor® Visa® Gold Secured Credit Card, because the card is no longer available to new applicants. However, there are other cards that allow you to fund your security deposit with a debit card, or by mailing a cashiers' check or a money order.
For example, another secured credit card that you could get without having a bank account is the opensky® Secured Visa® Credit Card.
Will my primor Secured Gold Visa card ever graduate to an unsecured card?
No, your Green Dot primor® Visa® Gold Secured Credit Card will not graduate to an unsecured card. Your spending limit will always be the amount of your refundable security deposit, which you can add to in $50 increments up to a maximum of $5,000. It's also worth mentioning that the Green Dot primor® Visa® Gold Secured Credit Card is no longer available to new applicants.

Can you add your spouse to the account?
Yes, you can add your spouse to the account as an authorized user. You will have to pay an additional card fee of $29, which will be withdrawn from your account on the day of the request.
Do I get my deposit back from a Green Dot primor Visa Gold card?
You can get your primor Secured Gold deposit refunded by cancelling your credit card. For that, call the number on the back of your credit card.
Unfortunately there's no way to graduate to an unsecured version for this one, so the only way to get your refund is to cancel your card.
