No, you can't get denied for a credit card after you were approved online. If you were approved, it means that the issuer has performed a thorough check of your credit report and financial situation, and has decided you may get the card.
That said, you could get denied after being pre-approved. Pre-approval is offered after a soft inquiry on your credit report. If you go ahead with the application, the credit card company will do a hard pull and may find issues that determine them to deny you.
