You can use your Chase Sapphire Reserve with Apple Pay after adding your card to the Apple Pay Wallet. Then, you can make purchases in stores that accept contactless payments, the same way you would pay with your Chase Sapphire Reserve. You can also use your card with Apple Pay for in-app purchases.
This feature allows you to pay for your purchases with your iPhone or Apple Watch instead of your physical card. Purchases will still show up on your Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card statement, and you’ll earn the same rewards.
How to Use Your Chase Sapphire Reserve with Apple Pay
- Open your Wallet app. For Apple Watch users, this is located in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap the "Add" button or the + sign on the top right of your screen.
- Scan your card with the phone’s camera or enter the card’s details manually.
- Confirm everything is correct to add the card to your Apple Pay Wallet.
- Pay with Apple Pay at merchants by opening the app and tapping the phone on the reader. To pay for an in-app purchase, choose Apple Pay as your payment method and follow the on-screen instructions.
You can make Chase Sapphire Reserve your default card on the Wallet app to always earn rewards. Plus, you can add your Chase Sapphire Reserve card to multiple Apple Pay wallets. However, for security purposes, your activation code will always be sent to the primary cardholder.
