Citi ThankYou Rewards+ Points are most valuable when redeemed for Gift Cards through the Citi Travel Center. Most cards will get you 1 cent per point on travel redemptions. Citi ThankYou Rewards+ Points may be worth less than 1 cent each when redeemed for cash back, depending on the card.
Generally, Citi ThankYou Rewards+ Points don’t expire if your account is open and in good standing. If you or Citi closes your account, you’ll lose any points you’ve yet to redeem. That’s one reason why it’s a good idea to redeem regularly. Redeeming points regularly also minimizes the risk of rewards devaluation.
