You can check your Walmart Credit Card application status either online or by calling customer service at (800) 903-9177. This is also how to check the status of your Walmart® Store Card, which can only be used at Walmart and affiliated locations.
It’s also possible to be instantly approved for either card. But if that’s not the case for you, you’ll have to either call or just wait to receive a decision by email.
How to check your Walmart Credit Card application status:
- Online: Log in to the application center by entering the last four digits of your Social Security number (SSN), your birth date, and ZIP Code.
- Over the phone: Call customer service at (800) 903-9177 and say “check the status of an application.” When prompted, enter your SSN or say “I don’t have it” to be connected to a live representative.
If you’re approved, your Walmart Credit Card should arrive within 10 days of approval. If it's been longer than that but you still haven't received you card, you should call customer service at (800) 227-4825 to check on it.
If you’re denied, you can ask for reconsideration, by calling the same customer service number. But you’ll need to prove your credit or income is actually better than it appeared on the application to have a shot at approval.

Unfortunately, there is no online application status. You'll have to call them to find out.
