Yes, certain HSBC cards do pay for Global Entry. Eligible HSBC cardholders can get up to $120 in statement credits to cover the cost of Global Entry every 4.5 years, as long as they pay the Global Entry program fees with their HSBC card.
HSBC Credit Cards with Global Entry Reimbursement
The Global Entry application costs $120 and HSBC Elite Credit Card will cover the entire fee. However, with the HSBC Premier World Credit Card, you can only be reimbursed up to $85 for the application fee. Alternatively, HSBC offers to reimburse the application fee for TSA PreCheck®, which costs up to $85. But HSBC will only cover one or the other.
If you plan to travel abroad, it generally makes more sense to get Global Entry, which has all the benefits of TSA PreCheck® plus expedited travel through U.S. Customs and Border Protection. That said, if you don’t have a passport or don’t travel internationally, TSA PreCheck® would be a better choice.
