The credit score you need for a SchoolsFirst FCU credit card is typically 750 or higher, though it depends on the card. One exception is the SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union Share-Secured Mastercard®. This card accepts even people with a credit score of 300, which is considered bad credit.
Keep in mind that it’s best to wait to apply for a given card until you meet the credit score requirement. You can check your credit score for free on WalletHub.
SchoolsFirst FCU Credit Score Requirements by Card
- SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union Inspire Mastercard®: 750 (Excellent credit)
- SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union Rewards Mastercard®: 750 (Excellent credit)
- SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union Share-Secured Mastercard®: 300 (Bad credit)
You should note that while your credit score is an important factor, there are plenty of other things that will impact your chances of being approved for a SchoolsFirst FCU credit card, too. Some other key criteria include your income, existing debt load, number of open accounts, recent credit inquiries, employment status and housing status.
