To add a USAA® Secured Visa Platinum® Card authorized user, log in to your online account or call customer service at (800) 531-8722. You will need to provide the authorized user’s personal information, including their full name, in order to add them as an authorized user on your USAA® Secured Visa Platinum® Card account.
Once added as an authorized user, the individual will receive their own credit card, sent to your mailing address, within a few weeks of being added to the account. The authorized user’s card will have full access to the account’s credit limit. USAA authorized users are able to make purchases, but only the primary cardholder is responsible for making payments. In addition, USAA reports account information to the major credit bureaus, which affects the credit of everyone on the account. Authorized users are able to remove themselves from the account at any time.
