Discover says they randomly select which of the “big three” credit bureaus to pull a report from when evaluating an applicant for a credit card or loan. So it could be Equifax, TransUnion or Experian. They may even pull from more than one.
Don’t be alarmed by the randomness of the process. If you use credit responsibly, all your credit reports will reflect that. You can stay on top of your financial situation with WalletHub’s free credit reports, updated daily. No lender reveals that, exactly for that purpose. You have to make sure your worthiness looks good on all fronts.

I would disagree with you. The hard pulls ads 2 from Capital One (C1 does always pull from all 3 credit reports, there also is 1 Discover pull and finally 1 Bank of America pull on Experian. My transunion card only has those 2 bass pills and one falls odd tomorrow so I’m down to 1 HP on Transunion. Equifax iis in the exact same spot as Transunion. I plan one applying for 2 cards in the next couple months. First the Barclays Aviator AAdvantage World Elite Mastercard which earns you 70,0000 miles agree a small spend Barclays exclusively uses Transunion I’ll only how 1 Hp that shows doe that application which is going to help. The other card is the Discover IT Travel card which technically is a travel cads but my main plan for what I’ll use it for is a balance transfer card with its 18 months of 0% and also having 15 months of 0! Interest on purchases. I need 4 new 20” times for my 4Runner and also 2 crowns that my dentist says I need in the next few months. It would be nice to be able to spread out payments with no interest in this day and age of astronomical inflation. This is why you should want to know who pulls from who because 4 inquiries on your Experian report looks a heck of a lot worse than 0 or one pull could make a difference at the end.
