Farmers offers a mature driver discount for drivers over the age of 55 who complete an approved defensive driving course. The discount may also be referred to as a “defensive driver” or “senior driver” discount, depending on the state. But like all major car insurance companies, Farmers does not have a senior discount that automatically lowers rates for all older drivers.
In addition to the mature driver discount, senior drivers can take advantage of other discounts in order to lower their premium. For example, Farmers offers a good payer discount, which gives a discount to drivers who have not been assessed any late payment fees in the 12 months prior to renewing their policy.
