The green card for businesses from American Express is a very good card since it provides additional services to the traveller. Although American Express is not accepted everywhere, it is easy to manage and one of its great advantages is that it is easy to replace if it is lost. Additionally, Amex offers some emergency services to the business travellers.

There is nothing like an American Express card. It is a necessity for the image of your business. This is especially true if you are traveling. I have this card through my brothers business. The customer service is top notch. However, be prepared for a high yearly fee and paying in full each month. We had fraudulent activity on my card a few years ago. Removing it was as easy as calling in to customer service. It was removed and we never had to do anything else. I was with Discover and after having $5,000 in fraudulent gasoline charges and months of dealing with having it removed. This issue was not a problem. Amex is always recommended by me.

I've used American Express for almost a decade now and I can honestly say that when you're traveling a lot it's a necessity. It has helped me so many times while I was on the go, or in another city that I can hardly keep track. I also love to use it for shopping online. Overall, it's a luxury and a convenience that I've grown to love over the years. They have great customer support and always make me feel safe using their card. I love it, and I have never had a problem even when I lost my card once. A++!

I've had my American Express Business Credit Card for nearly a year now and I enjoy having it. Whether using it for rental cars, gas, or other business related purchases, it's sort of reassuring to have the green card in my wallet when I need it. I can walk into most businesses with my card and know it'll be accepted, while also building reward points. Another factor I enjoy about this card and AmEx in general is being able to pay the balance online or check my usage via the American Express app. It has truly made my experience enjoyable and easily accessible.

American Express of course is the de facto standard in business credit cards, and you aren’t a real business traveler unless you have one. From its acceptance around the world, to the additional protections and services that American Express offers, this card is the only way to go. No matter where I’ve gone, this little green card in my wallet has given me confidence that I could do whatever I needed to, whether it was rent a car, buy a plane ticket, or take a client out to dinner. Now that American Express has added rewards points, this card is only better, and I will continue to use this card and be happy to have it in my pocket.

Going green is en vogue in the business community these days. Green is the color of money. Getting an idea of what American Express was going for in naming a card the Business Green Rewards Card from American Express OPEN. But does the Green Rewards Card live up to its connotations, that is the question. Well, first of all its important to point out that it is a charge card, which really isn’t a big deal for a reason I’ll touch on in a bit. When it comes to rewards, the American Express Business Green Rewards Card offers 5,000 bonus points after your first purchase, which is nice but not great, as well as 1 point for every dollar you spent, 2 pts for dollars spent through Amex Travel, and up to 10 pts at retailers through Amex’s online mall. As you may know the extra points via Amex’s mall or travel booked through Amex aren’t really a big deal because prices for whatever you buy will likely be much higher than you can find elsewhere. It’s therefore clear that the Business Green Rewards Card from American Express OPEN doesn’t give you enough green to be worth it.
An alternative for ya: The American Express Simply Cash is a good option because it gives you 5% cash back on office supplies and wireless services, 3% cash back on, and 1% cash back on everything else. Your cash back is also automatically added to your statement each month. This card paired with the Citi Simplicity Card (or one of the other personal Citicards offering 0% on purchases and transfers for 21 months) makes for an excellent business credit card strategy. As alluded to earlier, you only need a business card for purchases that you will pay for in full on a monthly basis. Business cards do not have protection under the credit card law that prevents issuers from increasing rates on existing balances without cause. Personal credit cards do not increase your personal liability, so there’s no reason not to adopt this approach. Besides, if you pick the cards I just laid out, things will be exceedingly “simpler” than if you were using the Business Green Rewards Card.
