I have been using the Capital One No Hassle credit card since 2004 (although it changed to the “no hassle” several years ago). Overall, I have been very happy with this credit card. They moved my credit limit up to accommodate the purchases I had to make. They will waive a late fee once if necessary (this happened when I did not receive my first statement). The interest rates are just under 16% for purchases, and just under 25% for cash advances. To be honest, this seems high to me, but I pay off my card every month so the rate does not really concern me. The only problem I have had is that they reserve the right to not “recalculate” the interest even after it is paid off. The one time I did not pay it off completely, I paid it off the next month, as well as that month’s charges, yet because I made new purchases I was still charged interest and other fees. This was not recalculated until I did not use the card for a full month cycle. Other than that, I have never had any complaints. You earn points back to use on gift cards, miles or other rewards. The customer service is usually good, and the one time I had to dispute a charge (I was charged twice) it was handled right away.
